The National Home Library Foundation makes grants to fund books for libraries, schools and literacy programs serving children, teens or adults in need of reading and learning resources. Priority is given to programs in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia areas.
Over its 80 year history, the NHLF has awarded more than $3.1M in grants. More than $250,000 has been granted to the Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland region since 2005.
